Points or PIMS

George Parros is an American born retired NHL hockey player. George is a very unique player. He was drafted to the Los Angeles Kings in 1999. He then spent 4 years at Princeton University putting up decent point totals and looked like he could have a shot at playing pro. After he finished University, he spent 3 years in the minors where he completely changed as a hockey player. After playing 133 games in the AHL, he only totalled 32 points but an astonishing 380 penalty minutes. I guess George decided the only way he was going to crack the pro roster was being a gritty fighter. His theory came true as he then spend 10 years in the NHL, often moving around the league trying to find a name for himself. The goon ended his career with 474 games played and 1092 penalty minutes. Every time he would fight, his greasy hair would fly in the air. I personally feel his hair made him so intimidating. He ended his career with a scary fight against Leafs forward Colton Orr, who knocked George out cold. He was out for most of the season, but made a few more appearances before retiring. A very interesting life story for the well known fighter.
